I wish like a
calendula I
Would greet
a spring
With a nodding
dangle
After the gnawing
winter
Wraps up her
fury ;
I would face
the sun
With His own
reflection
As He assures
with a smile
That the frigid
times have thawed
And I trust Him
completely ;
I would spend
my life
That lasts just
a season
In the wait of
your breath
That would last
just a moment
But would stay
with me forever
Lighting your
path with my glitter
Only to carry
the seed withered within
In hope of another
clime sometime
When the shrouding
ice will melt
To launch the
sun in the sky
And smile again
in the furrow
